empire group was founded in 2009 by Managing Partner Michelle Sneesby, who was driven by a purpose to support and inspire those around her through forming authentic connections. Over the last 15 years, our team has steadily grown and together we’ve cultivated a unique perspective on guiding professionals in the job market. Our history
2009
empire group is born
Driven to support and inspire those around us in their professional lives by forming authentic connections.
2010
Divisional expansion
In 2010 empire group diversified by opening the Corporate Division in addition to our Legal team.
2011
A new, national presence
Following early success, empire group had tripled in size by 2011. We expanded our then-Brisbane business to Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth.
2012
Our successes acknowledged
empire group became known as the leading Legal Recruitment Agency in Australia with a stellar reputation for all aspects of legal recruitment.
2015
A challenging year
Our founder Michelle was diagnosed with breast cancer. Taking six months out for her biggest personal battle, she is now cancer free and the empire group is proud to support the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
2017
Growth equals another new work home
Due to steady growth, our Brisbane team were on the hunt again for a new work home, which saw us move from Creek Street to 324 Queen Street to a bigger office ready for more people.
2018
People power, potential and passion
Having moved our headquarter offices to 324 Queen Street the year before (owing to our rapid expansion), 2018 was a milestone year for empire group, our most successful.
2019
Celebrating a decade of empire group
We proudly reached 10 years of operation in 2019, and celebrated with our colleagues, clients, candidates and contractors.
2020
Covid-19, surviving and getting stronger!
As the market became more candidate-focused, empire group was able to expand their services in innovation, eDiscovery, technology, and business services.
